Drugstore Makeup Haul

boots makeup, make up uk, makeup haul
A couple of weeks ago, my friend Lydia and I went into town to cause some damage to our bank accounts. I hadn't brought any makeup all Summer, and had spent the previous week scrapping out the last of my foundation and getting as much wear out of my mascara as possible, it wasn't even funny. As well at that, I had also run out of eyeliner, concealer and powder, so I had just given up on those.

So last week my student loan came in (hooray!) and I was able to pick up my most needed make up essentials, as well as a few extra bits I probably didn't need (yay!) So here is my long waited Superdrug and Boots haul. Oh, and 1 Topshop.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer
This concealer promises full coverage, a radiant glow and illuminates under the eyes. It can also be used to cover blemishes. I've been a long term user of the Collections lasting perfection concealer, but have always wanted to give this one a try. I've used it a few times since I brought it and have found it much more brightening and less cakey than lasting perfection. I have it in the shade Ivory, which I think is the lightest.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation
Healthy Mix is a light foundation that gives you luminous and healthy looking skin. This is actually a repurchase of mine, because I really loved using it the first time round. The end result is really natural looking but still manages to give me the coverage I need to hide redness, which I tend to get in the winter. I use the shade Light Vanilla.

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Fatigue Blur
This product is applied before any makeup to help even your skin tone and refresh the skin. Because my skin can be quite blotchy and uneven at times, I decided to give it a whirl. After a few go's, I'm been impressed at how it well sorts out my skin tone and the texture, leaving my skin as a much nicer base to apply makeup to. It does only comes in two shades: cool rose and warm apricot.

After reading Charlotte's review of this makeup revolution shadow, I thought I would give it ago as I wanted a golden shade for Autumn. Plus it's only £1. The colour is a shimmery gold which is so pigmented. I was really shocked with the quality from such a inexpensive purchase.

Makeup Revolution Baked Eyeshadows in Deluxe Chocolate
This little palette is made up of 5 baked eyeshadows. A pink, a dark pinky purple and a gold. Above those, there was two lighter colours which are perfect for highlighting. I've used the palette a few times and the shades are very pigmented and look really cute and autumnal together.

Maybelline Master Graphic Eyeliner
The master graphic eyeliner is a liquid felt tip that looks just like a marker pen. It looks quite scary at first, but the angled tip makes it easy to get the perfect (thick or thin) line across your eyelid. The tip even makes it easier to get right into your lash line. It's super black and long lasting.

bourjois volumizer mascara, rimmel wonderful mascara, rimmel makeup, best nude lipstick, kylie jenner lipstick colour Bourjois Twist up the Volume Mascara
This Bourjois mascara promises to create length and volume. This is done with their 'two brushes in one' wand, where you can twist the top of the mascara lid and it transforms from a long thin wand to a thick one. The thin wand is for creating the length, and the thick one will take care of the volume. I'm not sure if this is a gimmick, but once I've tried it out properly I'll report back.

Rimmel Wonderfull Mascara
The Wonderfull mascara by Rimmel is suppose to give your lashes a clump free volumised look. It uses argon oil to leave your lashes conditioned and flexible. Lydia recommended this to me so I thought I would give it a shot. I've never used argon oil on my eyelashes so this might be an experience...

Maybelline Color Drama in Nude Perfection
These lip crayons are creamy formulated kohl that comes in a wide range of different colours. I picked up Nude Perfection as it's that 90's lip/Kylie Jenner look that every one is all over at the moment. I've found that the crayon doubles up as a lip liner, making your lips really stand out. I've been wearing this a lot. At £4.99, I think I'll be picking up a few more of these.

soap and glory one heck of a blot, review, topshop highlighter
Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot
A translucent mattifying powder for all skin tones. I was in need of a good powder and thought I would give this one ago. It promises to leave your skin shine and oil free, with a velvety smooth finish. Essie is always recormending this product so you know it's gonna be good!

Topshop Sunbeam Highlighter
Last but not least, the Topshop Sunbeam highlighter. I was on the hunt for some good highlighters the other week, and remembered about this classic. The light golden shade works perfectly to give radiance and brighten the face.

Have you used any of these products?
