Maybelline Color Show Polka Dots in Chalk Dust - £2.99
The Maybelline Color Show in Chalk Dust is a glitter packed with different sized dots in mostly blacks but some white ones. This polish can be worn over different polishes, and I really like the effect it gives. It's more of a 'grown up' glitter, and I really like how the monochrome dots look over bright coloured polishes.
This glitter really reminds me of the Loreal Paris Confetti topcoat, although Chalk Dust is a cheaper alternative, so if you are looking for a cheap dupe, I would say this is a pretty good fit. I do find that the Loreal Paris Confetti topcoat applies a bit better, as Chalk Dust is quite fiddly to get an even application of the dots, even so it's a much cheaper alternative for a bigger bottle.
Have you tried the Polka Dots collection by Maybelline, what do you think?

Last week I was contacted by Lucy Cole saying I had won her £50 ASOS giveaway! I seriously couldn't believe it as I never win anything, but I went straight onto ASOS to see what I could get. After only one day I already placed my order! I haven't had a good shop in ages, so I'm so grateful for this, thank you Lucy!
I'm so please with everything I got, and it came to just under 50 pounds. I've had my eye on the gingham smock for so long now, and every blogger seems to have it. I love the print and the style of it, which is why I chose to include it in my order. They are running out of sizes on the ASOS website so I had to get a size 10 (which is my normal size, but ASOS really do love to make their smocks overly massive) But it's not too big, and I might just safety pin it at the side.
The Glamorous dress is so cute, I love the little patchwork floral print + it's also in the sale for £12. I had a little bit of my voucher left so I put the Stay Matte powder (which I've been meaning to pick up for ages) and the Barry M sequin nail paint in my virtual basket. Can't wait to try both of them.
Thank you soooo much Lucy for the voucher, I'm so grateful and pleased with everything I got! Thank you!

The comfiest combo ever = dresses with jumpers. I picked this one up in the Topshop sale for £7, and it's still online here. I love the cropped style and the colour is so vibrant and gorgeous for this weather. I also really like how it has the white speckled detailing just like the speckled dresses Topshop has in every single colour known to man. Jumpers seem pretty crazy to be wearing in this heatwave, but this one is so thin and perfect for covering my shoulders to avoid getting even more sunburnt!
I teamed the Topshop jumper with the £5 Primark dress (which are also in every colour under the sun). These dresses are such great quality for a mere five pounds, and I really love how to white looks with the vibrant orange. If you don't know what dress I'm on about, you can see it here in my haul from a while ago.

Zara Zebra Skirt
One thing I love about Summer is getting my little bicycle out and going for a bike ride. That's exactly what my boyfriend and I did today. He took a few photos so I could put them on my instagram, but I liked some of them so much I decided to put them on here! Plus the quality isn't too bad from my iphone.
It was so hot today, my outfit was based on throwing on as little as possible. I opted for this Zara skirt which is about three years old unfortunately and a basic crop top from Topshop. Nothing overly exciting at all, but hopefully the cool photos on my little bike will make up for that. I do love summer, but I definitely prefer dressing for winter with lots of jumpers and layers!

My friend: Primark Dress
A little twist to an outfit post today. This weekend was spent in London for my friends birthday, so I thought I would share with you what I wore in the evening. But Instead of retaking outfit photos today, I thought I would just reuse an photo from the night. The images down the side are from my instagram.
This outfit may have already been featured on here a while back, but I just love the skirt and how it looks with a little crop top. To finish the look off I toughened it up with my recently new pair of New Look boots. I wore these boots all weekend, and I'm kind of regretting it now as my feet are covered in blisters, and one even more painful blood blister, worst. thing. ever. I'm actually spending the day in bed because it hurts so much to walk! Anyway... back to clothes... my friends dress is from Primark (which will still be in store as she only brought it this weekend) I love the 90's tie dye print and the cut.
It's been so hot, in London this weekend it was 30 degrees! Hope you have all had a great weekend, let me know what you've been up to in the sun!

Primark Dress (similar here)
As I mentioned in yesterdays outfit post, I'm off to London today! No, No, not Wireless festival (although I would have loved to see Jay Z!) I'm off to reunite with my flatmates and celebrate one of their birthdays, eee! An excuse to get dressed up and drink cocktails!
I would have left around 9am~ this morning, so I had to write up this post last night. It's meant to be 30 degrees in London, so this is what I'll be wearing, (unless the weather man was lying and it's actually raining, which means this post would have been one big fail, hopefully that isn't the case). It's so nice to see some sun in England!
This primark dress has been sitting in my wardrobe waiting for a sunny day, so I thought I would finally wear it! It's so similar to the Motel floral dresses, which makes me sooo happy that Primark was selling it for a mere £13! So cheap for something so pretty! Like all dresses, it's a bit long for me so I had to roll it up at the waist. It doesn't look too bad does it? Throw on my £2.50 oval sunnies and I'm good to go!

ASOS Duck Dress (pug version)
New Look Belt
This morning I woke up and thought... I'll wear trousers today... looked at my clothes and rediscovered this duck dress and couldn't resist! So bare legs again it is. I brought it last summer from ASOS, and I only wore it a handful of times because it's so long for me, being around 5ft 2 everything normally is. So I've folded it up and belted it, which is why the material looks a bit weird around the middle. Nevertheless, I quite like this look, especially with the cardigan.
I'm going into London this weekend to be reunited with a couple of my flatmates for one of their birthdays. It's so weird going from seeing them everyday to coming home and not seeing them at all. Probably one of the most annoying things about have friends from all around the country. I might actually wear this outfit again on the Sunday as I do really like how it looks.
Unfortunately ASOS don't sell this dress any more, but I found a even cooler version of it with little pugs printed all over it! You can see that here.

River Island Blazer
I bet you've all had enough of seeing Uniqlo trousers on my blog, I have three pairs of them in different prints, and I seriously wear them all the time. Definitely getting my moneys worth, even though they were only a mere £12 each, (and now they've gone down to £9.90!) They are perfect for days like today when I don't want my legs out, but it's too humid for tights or jeans. Plus they are super comfy, and that's what I'm all about!
These New Look ankle boots are a recent addition to my collection. Like everyone, I've been lusting over the Topshop Arabel boots for quite some time now, but I don't have the money to spend 60+ quid on a pair of shoes (no matter how gorgeous they are) so I found these ones and I'm super happy with them! I love the cut out style with the little buckles, perfect for toughening up any outfit! Plus, it matches my cut out tee from Topshop, which you can't see very well here but it has little slits on the shoulders.

Topshop's collection of make up is one I always love to check out, normally their nail polishes! But recently I've been really getting into lipsticks, and although I brought this one a few months ago, I completely forgot I had it and found it at the bottom of my make-up bag. I was so happy to find out I already own this gorgeous colour, perfect timing for summer!
Whimsical is a beautiful shade of coral with a hint of nudey pink. The formula is really moisturising on the lips, which is perfect for hot days. I do find it's quite patchy when it's first applied, and sits unevenly on the drier parts of my lips, although my lips aren't overly dry at all. But once the formula has dried it's a lot more even. Overall, I'm really happy with this lipstick, and I have loved wearing it while it's been hot this past week. Paired with a coral or pink blusher, this looks absolutely gorgeous on a summers day.
What do you think of Topshop Lipsticks, do you have a favourite?

River Island Flatforms (similar here)
Nails: Essie Fiji
My legs have been all over my blog recently! It's so nice to have them out after what seems like a lifetime of wearing tights and jeans! Although I haven't been doing anything particularly summery, it's just nice for it to be warm and that definitely motivates me to actually enjoy the outside. I'm normally much more of an inside person. It also motivates me with everyday activities, like getting up and doing something with my day! Why can't it be summer all year?
I'm also really loving how my photos are turning out in my new backdrop at home! The photos just look so much cleaner and better quality. I don't know how they're going to turn out when I'm back at uni in September with my light pink walls :/ If anyone has any tips and tricks on taking their own outfit photos, I would love to hear them!
I'll leave you with one of my favourite bands to listen to in the Summer. Who are your Summer favourites?

Primark Crop Top
I'm back home! Missing my freedom and my uni room, but apart from that home isn't too bad. I spent yesterday with my nan and grandad and then made cakes with my sister. So I guess home is just what I needed. So this will probably be my backdrop for my outfit photos this summer. Not too shabby I must say, I like how they've come out. Although the top ones are quite (very) blurry, that will have to be improved. I think I need a camera remote. Does anyone have one, do they make outfit photos easier to take?
I've started drafting up my 'first year of uni' post, which a lot of you said you'd like to read. I'm going to be talking about my experience and then include tips and advice I think would be useful to know. Hopefully it will be beneficial to you, and it should be up by the weekend.
I went to see my new house for my second year of university the other day, as I had completely forgotten what it looked like, and I needed to move some stuff in. By my surprise my bedroom is actually baby pink! Which I'm actually quite pleased about, but hopefully my outfit photos wont look too odd. But I guess what's all to come in September!
Anyway, the outfit! Today will be spent being lazy around the house, blogging and watching TV. So I went for dungarees which allows me to be comfy yet still quite presentable. I normally just wear my pyjamas around the house, but I think my mum will get annoyed seeing me wasting around in my pjs all summer, so I better get dressed some days!
