Rimmel Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara

Reviewing mascaras can be quite hard because what I like may be completely different to what you like. But if you've read a few of my mascara reviews before you probably know what I normally go for, and that basically comes down to a mascara which adds volume.

The Scandaleyes retro glam mascara is inspired by 60's glamour and is meant to create a bold, wide-eye look, very Twiggy! The wand is in an hourglass shape and is meant to fan the lashes up to achieve this wide-eyed look. I emphasise the words 'meant to'.

I've read sooo many reviews of bloggers hyping this mascara up, and I love 60's make-up looks, so I thought I would give the product a whirl. On first impression, the mascara really didn't do anything to my lashes. And a lot of the time, I find mascaras get better after a few times of use, when the formula has started to dry a little, but nope. I've had the product for quite a while now and it really doesn't do any of the things it promises. Well actually, it does one thing. No clumps. And I actually like my mascara to clump.

I wouldn't normally write about a product I didn't get on with, but seriously, I haven't read a bad review on this product at all! Is it just me?! I just think if you're going to buy the product you may as well know that it didn't work on everybody.

But back to my first statement, it is hard to review mascaras because different mascaras work on different people. Some people might just be like, shut up Lauren this works perfectly on me...
