What's your Festival style?

It's that time of year again when everyone's getting ready for their favourite festivals. It's one of my favourite things about Summer, as I love fashion and live music. New Look have drawn my attention to their new infographic which shows the evolution of festival fashion, from 1969 right up to today. It's all you need to inspire your next festival look!

The infographic goes through the ten different time periods and relates them to style and music, and gives you the low down on how to recreate the look. For example, 1996 was the year of Britpop, the infographic gives key influences, so we have of course Blur, Oasis, Suede, Pulp and Supergrass. The style was late/mid 90's, giving you key fashion items which include Fred Perry polos and parka jackets and a key designer who is Ozwald Boateng. It also has V Festival as the festival this time period is know for, stating it was the rise of Britpop.

The infographic goes through many different styles including: hippy, punk, grunge, indie and even more. It's definitely worth a read to find out about different styles, what festivals are known for and even discover new music to listen to.

What's great about this infographic, is when you get to 2013 there are four different styles you can choose from, these are: Hip Hop Honey, Grunge Girl, Boho Chic and Glamour Girl. When you click on one of these, New Look gives you a summery of the style and what festival you could be attending to rock that look. Then when you click 'New Look style trend' it gives you a tons of advice on that specific look! Including tips and tricks, style icons, how to wear the trends and even a selection of pieces you can buy from New Look to achieve that look you're going for!
