The Color Boosts by Bourjois are glossy lip crayons, which promise to comfort and hydrate your lips. These have been all over the blogosphere since the release, so I had to pick one up and see what all the fuss is about.
At first glance you can tell these are going to be similar to the Clinique Chubby Sticks and Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains. I haven't tried the Clinique ones but in terms of the Revlon ones I've tried, they are pretty similar. The Color Boosts are a lot glossier and without the peppermint smell and taste, (I know most people hated that, but I personally liked it). The Color Boosts don't seem to have a taste at all.
The Color Boosts are very pigmented, so they can be built up or down to achieve your desired look. They are really glossy, so you can apply a thick layer to achieve a almost-neon peachy pink look, or if you're not really into gloss, you can do what I did, and apply one coat which still leaves you with peachy pink lips, just less glossy. The lip crayon is suppose to last ten hours, which is a little far-fetched in my opinion, especially with eating and drinking. The gloss does fade, but leaves your lips with a nice stain.
Peach on the Beach is easy to apply and I love the overall look. The colour is right up my street and the name is so cute! (One of the main reasons why I chose it!) The product is really hydrating and it does actually feel like there's nothing on my lips when I wear it, bonus! Have you tried any of the Color Boosts, what do you think?
