basic stripped tee from H&M
Hi! I wore this outfit to uni yesterday and yes it's another monochrome based outfit. I don't know what's wrong with me, I have literally been wearing nothing but black and white all week, oops. Anyway, I got this pinafore a while ago now and I still hadn't posted it on here. I think it looks so cute and simple with basic tees and shirts, if you are still deciding if you should buy it or not, you definitely should. Although I think Primark have started doing something similar which would be a lot cheaper.
I hope you are all enjoying your week, please leave your blog links in the comment box below because I'm looking for new blogs to follow!

I think I've found my spring favourite! Seriously, I knew how lovely the colour was from looking at the bottle, but it looks so much better on! I really like these Rimmel lyrca pro nail polishes as they come out so nicely and shiny, it really does leave you with a professional finish in my opinion. I also really like how the brush is thick, it makes it much easier to apply, and I definitely need that or I get in a right state! The bottle says that this polish can last up to 10 days, I don't think I actually agree with this because mines chipped a bit already and I've only just put it on.
I think you can pick these up in drug stores for just under £5, but I actually got this in primark for £2, it's definitely worth looking at their beauty section.

Topshop drop waist dress
New Look contrast jacket
Miss Selfridge heeled chelsea boots
This week has been a bit manic, I've been on reading week so I've been trying to keep busy to avoid doing any uni work. Not the best idea because now I have to spend the day writing a report on media usage which needs to be in tomorrow, oops.
This is an old dress from Topshop, I think I brought it in the sale last year at some point. I really like the loose fitting of it, it's so comfy and perfect for lazy Sundays in the flat. I've teamed it with my trusty new look jacket just in case I venture into city at some point.

Collection 2000 are one of those brands that I check out if I'm looking for something cheap and cheerful. This is exactly what I was doing in Superdrug yesterday as I'm getting bored of using the same products and thought I would try and find some bargains and see how well they work. The only products I have ever brought from Collection 2000 before were the hot looks nail polishes, which I extremely recommend.
Killer Curves is a new mascara which has only just hit the stores. It promises to lift, curve and volumise. My eyelashes are very short and thin, so anything that promises to volumise them I will buy! I think the mascara did an ok job at lifting, curving and added a little bit of volume to them but I wouldn't say it was a miracle worker. I reckon is might work a lot better on someone with longer lashes.
Collection 2000 in Superdrug were offering a deal where if you spent over £4.99 you got a free Extreme 24 hour felt tip liner. This eye liner pen was very easy to apply and fast drying. The felt tip end allowed me to apply my cat eye flicks a lot easier than using my current eye liner, so I will definitely be using this for now on. The only problem I have with eye liner pens is that they don't normally last that long until they dry up, so I'm hoping this one wont do that!

Barry M Station Road (£3.99)
Station Road is from Barry M's textured effects collection with three other colours. I had read a couple of reviews on these polishes and since then I've wanted to try them out for myself! I wasn't sure if I would like the rough texture, but I actually really like it. The texture gives the nails an interesting 3D look, just like adding a glitter. Plus, it only needed two coats and dried surprisingly quick for a thick polish.
In the collection, there's a blue (Atlantic Road), green (Ridley Road), pink (Kingsland Road) and as well as this lovely yellow. In Superdrug at the moment they have a 2 for £6 offer on Barry M Gelly and Textured nail paints, which is definitely worth checking out. I am hoping to pick up some more of these texture paints as I think they are so cool, I reckon I will go for the Atlantic Road next.
Have you tried out these nail paints yet, what do you think?

H&M SHOES (£19.99): H&M have been doing these types of shoes for ages now and I've wanted them for so long. They did a pair where the wedged heel wasn't as high, but I still really like these ones. I find that wedged heels and flatforms are so much more comfier than normal heels, so I definitely need to get some more!
H&M STUDDED TOE FLATS: I saw these beauties on the H&M SS13 highlights on Look.co.uk, and I've fallen in love. I really like smart shoes which look like they should be mens. I have no idea why, I just think they really add something to an outfit. These would look so cute with some really girly dresses.
TOPSHOP MARTINA T BAR (£30.00): Everybody needs a pair of t-bars this spring! They are sooo cute and perfect. I really like the white versions as well. These are definitely at the top of my wishlist. Plus, I don't think I actually had t-bars when I was younger, so I should definitely get them now!
NEW LOOK SUEDETTE WEDGES (£22.99): If I'm looking for a new pair of going-out shoes, I always start in New Look. New Look shoes are a dream, comfy and normally cheap! At £22.99, these shoes are perfect. I really love the style and would be perfect for a night out.
NIKE BLAZER VINTAGE HI-TOPS (£69.99): Everyone seems to have a pair of Nike blazers apart from me! I love them, and I'm jealous of everyone who has them! At almost 70 pounds, they are very expensive for a pair of trainers, but they are so cool. They would look really cute with skirts and dresses.
What are you dream shoes?

While everyone else was at fashion week this weekend, I relived my early teen years at an All Time Low concert. On Friday night the flatmates and I drunkenly decided to book tickets to London for the next morning for a spontaneous trip away from our halls. I ended up seeing All Time Low, seriously forgot how much I loved the band as I was a big fan of theirs at fourteen.
This is what a wore for the gig, I stayed with my usual basic monochrome style. I really like these shorts from Topshop as I love anything high waisted and the lace detailing is really pretty. Topshop also have them in different colours like lilac and cream which are so lovely. I really like how they look with the crop tops, I will definitely be buying some more of them in different colours.
Hope you all had a great weekend.

Lately, all blog posts have been about spring/summer, but to be honest it's still too cold to wear any of it. Here is a blog post that includes trends which you can wear now! Here are five lovely knits which will keep you warm and on trend this spring. I really love the colours of all these jumpers, they are so summery and will add a pop of colour to any outfit. Plus, they are all reasonably priced, bonus!
Which one is your favourite?

My flatmate and I went to Oxford Street the other day to spend all of our money, and I picked up so many nice little bits. I picked up this dress in Topshop, as I love the fit of these dresses, and they do them in so many colours now! I have the grey one, but I think I prefer this one at the moment. The light blue is so lovely for spring. If I had all the money in the world I would definitely pick up some more of these, but at 26 pounds each they aint cheap! I do think they are worth it though.
I also brought this jacket from Primark. I've had my eye on the monochrome textured jacket from Next for a while now, but being a student, I can't really afford £55! This was in Primark for £12 which is a complete steal. Primark has definitely upped its game this season, there were so many nice pieces I wanted for so little money.

Moschino ss13, Louis Vuitton ss13, Christopher Kane ss13
Pop art, bold colours and prints are big trends this spring/summer and the high street has started to fill up with these types of pieces. I didn't think I would like this trend as much as I do. Whenever I wear something quite bright I always pair it with something plain just because I don't want to stand out too much, but some people can really pull it off! Here are some pieces I really like that have already hit the UK high street...
There are so many mixed reviews on this trend especially the typo t-shirts like the 'Geek' tops. What do you think?

The Beatles tee - Burton
chelsea boots via ebay
I'm really into wearing band t-shirts tucked into skirts at the moment for days when I'm not doing anything particularly exciting. It's so easy and comfy yet still stylish. This beatles t-shirt was brought a few years ago from Burton. I buy so many men's t-shirts as they are so comfy for casual days. I added my trusty biker jacket to add a little edge, obviously it's not warm enough to go outside without a jacket yet! I'm so bored of this weather, and now all the spring/summer collections are coming into stores it's making me excited for some sun!

Models Own Utopia (£5)
Models Own Ibiza Mix (£5)
My first ever nails post! One thing you should know is that my nails never look neat as I'm really not very good at painting them and never get them done professionally. I roughly paint my nails at least three times a week, so I don't spend too much time on them because I know I will be taking it off in a few days! I really love nail art but I just don't have that talent or patience, I love Remia's blog, Style Sunday as she does the most amazing nail art which must take her forever!
The base colour is Models Own Utopia which is one of my favourites. It's a really light pinky grey which is perfect for laying with glitters or even having it on it's own. I really like this colour when I'm wearing all black as it adds contrast. The glitter is Models Own Ibiza Mix which is from the Hedkandi collection. I haven't tried any of the other Hedkandi polishes but I would really like to try Balearic Cool which is a neon blue colour. Ibiza Mix is filled with blues, golds and purples that look so nice together.
Nail varnishes are my favourite products and I'm looking out for some new colours, what are your favourites?

The River Island spring/summer collection is full of monochrome, neon and chunky heels. They also have some really nice jumpsuits and midi skirts which I haven't seen from the other high street spring/summer collections so far. I'm really looking forward to seeing more from River Island this season. Check out the collection here!
1. POLKA DOT TOP: This top is so cute for summer. It reminds me of swimming pools and the 90's, what a combo. They are also doing matching shorts which would look so cute together. I love simple pieces like this that you could wear with so many different things for a casual sunny day outfit.
2. PASTEL COLOUR BLOCK BAG: Whenever I buy a new bag I always end up getting a black or a brown one. I really need a nice and colourful one like this this year. I think the block pastel colours look really nice and stylish, definitely on my wishlist for the summer.
3. FLORAL JACKET: I really like River Island's long blazers and jackets in this style. My coat at the moment is the exact same style (see outfit post here) and I live in it. I love oversized boyfriend jackets because you can throw them over everything and snuggle up in it. The design is very bright for me as I mostly wear darker colours but I do really like this and will consider getting it when it's in store.
4. EMBELLISHED PASTEL BEANIE: I think this is so cool! You could make it look cute or even quite 90's grungy. I'm not a big hat person but I really wish I was so I could wear this! I think the lilac colouring will look really nice against brown and blonde hair.
5. WHITE BEADED DRESS: This dress definitely has a 1920's flapper feel to it which I adore! I really like white dresses in the summer and I love the beaded embellishments on this one. The photo of the model above shows what the dress looks like on, I think it looks really great for the summer especially for holidays abroad.
What do you think of this collection, and who has been your favourite s/s collection this year?
It was my super sweet 19th birthday on the 8th, if you follow me on twitter or instagram you probably know all about it from the constant updates. My flatmates decorated our flat with balloons and got me a birthday bitch sash and cake. They are the cutest and my birthday wouldn't have been so great without them! We had a dominos pizza party and then all got dressed up as the spice girls for a night out. It was such a good night from what I remember, and I'm so glad I've made so many amazing friends since moving to university (soppy)
Now I have post birthday blues, I want to be 18 again.

Forever 21 dress
Office nighthawk shoes
Anyway, it's the Topshop jacket again! I've been wearing this so much lately, you'll probably see it quite a lot on this blog. I spent months and months last year trying to find the perfect faux leather jacket that wasn't too expensive. I brought one from H&M which was around 30pounds, but it was cropped and I just didn't like it that much. But I found this one at the beginning of January for £55, (not too bad for something I've been waiting for my whole life pretty much.) Definitely worth buying, I literally throw it over everything.
I brought this dress from Forever 21 about 2 years ago I think. I wore it a lot while I was at college and completely forgot about it until today. I really like the cute print and how it tucks in at the waist. I wore this to university as it's quick and comfy, but still nice enough to wear around the city.
The lighting in these photos are so bad, I'm sorry.
